The MFSSEMNS is an independent body within Sinoti Samoa. The MFSSEMNS has its own policies and processes to provide guidance to it functions. The MFSSEMNS make decisions in accordance with its processes and policies.

The Lay Preachers Education committee prepare study and biblical resources for lay preachers.
They also liaise with the Lay Preachers Association of the Methodist Church of NZ and are members of the New Zealand Lay Preachers Association (NZLPA).
